EACH CLASSROOM TEACHER NOW UPDATES THE HOMEWORK FOR THE CLASSES THEY TEACH, NOT THEIR HOMEROOM

NWEA testing will begin on January 15th and run through the 24th.

  • 6th Social Studies: Note taking should take place daily. All notes can be used on tests. 
  • Due Thursday/Friday- Country Project to present to class.
  • 7th Social Studies: Note taking should take place daily.  All notes can be used on tests.

  • 8th Social Studies: Note taking should take place daily.  All notes can be used on the test.
  • Group Colony activity taking place in class-outside research may need to take place depending on the individual group's progress in class.
  • 8th Literature: 10 A.R. points are required each 9 weeks.  10 A. R. points are due by December 21st for the 2nd quarter.
  • Listening to the Novel: " Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry" and completing Literature exercises in class.  Homework will take places if in-class work is not completed in the time given.
  • 8th Language Arts:  * Spelling test each Wednesday.  Students are given the new words each Wednesday.  Be sure to study!
  • Spelling test Wednesday
  • Final writing will take place this week on the argumentive or persuasive essay.  Homework will take place if this is not completed in the time frame given at school.

* All students that earn a "D+" or lower on a test will need to have the test signed by a parent/guardian the following school day.  A lunch detention will be served as a result of not returning the signed test.  If the test is still not signed after the lunch detention is served, an after-school detention will be required.
